Biatain® Super is a highly absorbent hydrocapillary dressing that provides a moist wound environment for healing of exuding wounds.



BIATAIN dressings, Suitable for heavily exuding wounds


Rapid absorption, distribution and retention of wound exudate allows full utilization of absorbent capacity with minimal risk of maceration and leakage, even in heavily exuding wounds.



BIATAIN dressings Moist wound environment for optimal healing


The hydrocapillary wound pad quickly absorbs wound exudate vertically and distributes it horizontally. A non-adherent wound contact layer maintains a moist wound environment for optimal healing.

Complete, easy-to-use wound dressing
Compared to other highly absorbent dressings, Biatain® Super is a cost-effective solution that does not require an additional wound contact layer (4).

Mode of action
Superabsorber particles absorb and store large amounts of wound exudate. Fibers disperse wound exudate throughout the wound pad, maximizing absorption. The high permeability to water vapor contributes to excellent wound exudate management.



BIATAIN dressings Composition


Biatain® Super consists of a highly absorbent hydrocapillary wound pad with a semi-permeable, waterproof and bacteria-proof top film, a hydrocolloid component for adhesion and a non-adherent wound contact layer. The dressing is available in self-adhesive and non-adhesive versions.



BIATAIN dressings application


Biatain® Super can be used on a wide range of exuding wounds, particularly leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, second degree burns, postoperative wounds and skin abrasions. Biatain® Super can also be used under compression therapy.
