  • The preparation contains a dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves.
  • It is a herbal medicine used to improve age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia.

 

dosage Ginkgo 240 mg, Ginkgo biloba leaf dry extract, film-coated tablets

 

  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose for adults and the elderly is 1/2 tablet twice a day.
  • The twice daily intake should be in the morning and evening.
  • The tablet can be divided into equal doses.
  • Use in children and adolescents
    • There is no relevant indication for children and adolescents.
  • Special patient groups
    • There are no data on dosing in case of impaired renal or hepatic function.
  • Duration of use
    • The treatment should last at least 8 weeks.
    • If the symptoms have not improved after 3 months or if the symptoms of the disease worsen, the doctor must check whether the continuation of the treatment is still justified.

 

  • If you take more than you should
    • There are no known cases of overdose. You may experience increased symptoms as described in the "Side Effects" section.
    • If you have overdosed on ginkgo contact your doctor or seek medical advice as you may need medical treatment.

 

  • If you forget to take a dose
    • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

  • The film-coated tablets should be taken orally. Do not take the tablets lying on your back. The tablets should be swallowed whole (not chewed) with liquid, preferably a glass of water. It can be taken independently of meals.
