What is the physiological role of inositol and folic acid?

Although we cannot define it exactly as a vitamin, inositol is considered a vitamin factor, part of the B group. In the human body it is present in phospholipids and is able to stimulate endogenous lecithin production. Research shows that taking inositol helps to improve ovarian function.
