Benzaknen Wash 5%: The antibacterial washing lotion against pimples and acne

Effect of Benzaknen Wash 5% with benzoyl peroxide (BPO)
In the fight against acne, pimples and blackheads, thorough cleaning of the skin is essential. Soap and water are not enough to deter acne-causing bacteria. Because acne, pimples and blackheads are mainly caused by an overproduction of sebum and the formation of so-called horn plugs. Benzaknen Wash 5% with the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide (BPO) gently removes the uppermost horny layer of the skin, frees the pores from the horn plugs and reduces excess sebum.

• BPO eliminates 94% of all acne bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes) and is a powerful weapon in the fight against pimples.
• Thanks to its lipophilic properties, benzoyl peroxide penetrates into the clogged pores and develops its effect there.
• Clogged pores are opened and excess sebum can drain away.
• In this way, the acne bacteria are deprived of their breeding ground, the complexion improves and the risk of inflammation and skin irritation is reduced.
• In contrast to treatment with antibiotics, products with the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide do not have a habituation effect. Benzaknen works even after several weeks as on the first day.

Use of Benzaknen Wash 5%
The use of Benzaknen Wash 5% against acne is simple and straightforward. Simply apply Benzaknen Wash 5% morning and evening to slightly damp skin and then wash the suspension off thoroughly with clear water. The washing lotion is suitable for large areas of the chest, shoulder and back. An improvement in the complexion can often be seen after just 1-2 weeks.

Tip: For the treatment of acne and pimples especially on the face, we recommend the Benzaknen gel. Depending on the severity of the disease, this is available as Benzaknen 5% gel or Benzaknen 10% gel.

Application note: Avoid dry skin!
For mild forms of acne, one application once a day is usually sufficient. In severe cases, the washing lotion should be applied to the skin twice a day.

Long-term use of Benzaknen Wash 5% can leave the skin feeling dry and tight. It is therefore advisable to also apply a soothing moisturizer. Benzacare Soothing Moisturizing Care is particularly suitable in this case and is tailored to the special needs of the diseased skin. It can also happen that the skin reacts irritably to the active substance benzoyl peroxide at the beginning of the treatment. Usually, however, the symptoms go away on their own after a few days. If the skin is peeling, it is not a cause for concern, but a sign that the healing process is underway.
