OSTENIL® MINI
sodium hyaluronate from fermentation 1.0%. Viscoelastic solution for injection into small joints. Sterile by moist heat.

 

Application Joint injections, OSTENIL mini 10 mg pre-filled syringes (syringe) areas:

 

Pain and limited mobility in degenerative and traumatic changes in small synovial joints, such as B. the facet joints of the lumbar spine, the thumb saddle joint, the interphalangeal joints of fingers and toes, the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe and the temporomandibular joint.

For the treatment of large joints, such as knee, hip or shoulder joints, OSTENIL® pre-filled syringes of 20 mg/2.0 ml should be used.

 

Dosage Joint injections, OSTENIL mini 10 mg pre-filled syringes (syringe) instructions and method of application:


Inject OSTENIL® MINI a total of 1-3 times at weekly intervals into the diseased joint. Several joints can be treated at the same time.

Depending on the severity of the joint disease, the effect of one treatment can last for more than six months.

Repeated treatment cycles are possible if necessary.

If joint effusion is present, puncture of the effusion, immobilisation of the joint, application of an ice pack and/or intra-articular administration of corticosteroids are recommended.

Two to three days later, the treatment with OSTENIL® MINI is started.

As long as the sterile packaging is not opened, the contents and surface of the pre-filled syringe are sterile.

The pre-filled syringe is removed from the sterile packaging, the cap is unscrewed from the Luer lock connection, a suitable cannula (e.g. 19
to 25 G) is attached and this is locked by turning it slightly.

Before the injection, any air bubble present is removed from the syringe.

 

Composition Joint injections, OSTENIL mini 10 mg pre-filled syringes (syringe):


1 ml isotonic solution contains 10.0 mg sodium hyaluronate as well as sodium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate and water for injections.
