Artelac ^® EDO ^® Active ingredient: hypromellose.

Areas of hypromellose application: For the symptomatic treatment of dehydration of the cornea and conjunctiva (dry eye) due to tear secretion and tear dysfunction as a result of local or systemic diseases as well as in the case of insufficient or incomplete eyelid closure, which can occur e.g. B. can express in burning eyes, foreign body feeling and photophobia in wind, heat and fatigue. For wetting and rewetting of soft and hard contact lenses. Artelac ^® EDO ^® is - as it is unpreserved - particularly suitable for users who cannot tolerate preserved artificial tear substitutes.

Main ingredients

• 1 ml of solution contains 3.20 mg of hypromellose

RECOMMENDED hypromellose USE: Detach
a single dose ophthalmic product from the bar and grasp the label side. Twist off the cap of the single-dose ophthalmic tube. Tilt your head back and use the index finger of one hand to pull the lower lid of the eye downwards. Hold the one-dose ophthalmic tube vertically over the eye with the other hand (without touching the eye) and gently press the single-dose ophthalmic tube with your finger to drop a drop into the pulled down conjunctival sac. Close the eye slowly and move it back and forth so that the drop can spread out well.

The contents of a single-dose ophthalmic ophthalmic product are sufficient for simultaneous use in both eyes. 

AGE

Due to hormonal changes and with increasing age, women in particular suffer from a decrease in tear production, the symptoms of which are alleviated by artificial moistening of the eye.


SIMPLE APPLICATION Artelac ^® EDO ^® hypromellose is easy to use. The instillation of the one-dose ophthiols is easy to implement. ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES Heating air, air conditioning, but also smoking and fine dust have an impact on the tear film. These can be stressors that lead to dry eye symptoms.

If you also use other drugs on the eye, there should be an interval of approx. 15 minutes between the applications of the various preparations. Artelac ^® EDO ^® should always be used last, so that the length of stay and thus the effect are not shortened.

Can Artelac ^® EDO ^{® be used} during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or planning to become pregnant. The application of Artelac ^® EDO ^®during pregnancy or breastfeeding should only be done after a careful risk-benefit assessment by the doctor.

Can Artelac ^® EDO ^® affect the ability to drive and use machines?
Since this drug, even when used as intended, briefly affects visual performance and thus the ability to react by streaking, you should not participate in traffic during this time, do not work without a secure footing and do not operate machines.

How should Artelac ^® EDO ^{® be} stored ?
Store Artelac ^® EDO ^®not above 25 ° C and do not store opened one-dose ophthalmic ophthalmic tubes! Artelac ^® EDO ^® does not contain any preservatives.
