Antioxidants, also called "radical scavengers", are compounds that react with free radicals before they can destroy or change body cells. Because free radicals are constantly created in all metabolic processes in the body and by external influences (e.g. smoking, UV radiation, diseases), oxidative stress can form.

Antioxidant complex consists of a combination of various antioxidant nutrients that effectively support the body's own antioxidant protection system. Free radicals are highly reactive, very aggressive, chemical oxygen molecules or organic compounds. Free radicals are constantly created as intermediate products of metabolism in every cell of the human body. These free radicals constantly multiply in the body in a chemical chain reaction. This process creates oxidative stress in the organism.

Oxidative stress spreads when the cellular antioxidant defense is too weak to compensate for the reactive oxygen radicals. Oxidative stress does not show any clear symptoms.
