CYSTIREN for cystitis Application:

CYSTIREN is a synergistic combination of standardized extracts with high concentration. Cystica cranberry extract has been clinically tested for its anti-adhesive action against E. coli in the urinary tract. The standard daily dose of CISTIREN contains 72 mg of PACs. Goldenrod extract has a diuretic, immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effect.

Actions are favorable for infections on the urinary tract - cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis.

American cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) has a valuable and unique effect - the anti-adhesion effect on the bacterium E. coli (the main cause of cystitis). In the last few years, it has been proven conclusively that this effect is due to a specific type of proanthocyanidins, called type C, found so far only in it. This is why in 2004 it was protected by AFSSA as the only fruit that reduces the adhesion of E. coli to the walls of the urinary tract.

The virulence of a number of pathogenic E. coli strains is due to the adhesins expressed by them, the so-called P-Fimbriae, through which they attach to specific receptors on uroepithelial cells, because the immune system does not recognize E. coli as pathogenic. In contrast, proanthocyanidin type A recognizes E.coli unmistakably, preventing it from binding to receptors on the surface of the urinary tract. By inhibiting this connection, the bacteria fail to attach and are "transported" through the urine outside the body. Unlike the antibiotic, which acts at the macro level (not so selectively), proanthocyanidins type A act much more precisely. They destroy only the binding of the pathogenic bacterium to the receptors, without destroying the entire population of E. coli, some strains of which are part of the beneficial intestinal microflora.

The product CYSTIREN for cystitis contains specially developed, patented extract - CystiCran 40 with the highest concentration present in proanthocyanidins type A.

Goldenrod is a European herb, known and used in antiquity. It is known that it is rich in various flavonoids and anthocyanidins, whose synergism is due to its healing effect. It has diuretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

The efficacy of Goldenrod extract has been proven in a clinical study. 745 female patients, between 12 and 94 years of age with pronounced dysuria, were studied. A 14-day treatment with Goldenrod extract, 380 mg, was performed 3 times / day. In 69.2% of cases, there is a significant reduction in pain and relief of other symptoms of cystitis. In addition, false urges to urinate have also reduced their frequency.

Antispasmodic effect - the flavonoids in the Goldenrod can affect the relaxation of smooth muscles. It can be said that this effect is due to the inhibition of protein kinase C. It acts as a competitive antagonist of acetylcholine in muscarinic receptors, which leads to relaxation of the smooth muscles of the bladder.

Antibacterial effect - The antibacterial activity of Goldenrod has been tested in vitro against urogenital bacterial pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis). The result shows strong antibacterial activity not only against these bacteria, but also against Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus pumilis, Proteus mirabilis, Micrococcus luteus. The active ingredients in Goldenrod have been found to inhibit dihydrofolate reductase activity.

Antifungal effect - A series of studies show that isolated triterpenoid saponins of Goldenrod have a pronounced activity against some Candida species (Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida krusei, Candida parapsilosis, Candida pseudotropicalis, Candida guilliercromontai, Cryndidoformin).

Immunostimulatory effect - Immunomodulatory effect is found in the action of triterpene saponins and flavonoids in Goldenrod. They have been shown to induce macrophages and activate NK cells.

Standardized extract of Goldenrod (5% flavonoids) - 180 mg

CYSTIREN for cystitis Dosage:

In acute conditions: twice a day for two tablets (minimum 7 days).

In chronic conditions: twice one tablet (minimum 3 months).

It can be taken by children over 7 years, pregnant and lactating.

Method of administration: With a large glass of water, on an empty stomach

Duration of administration: in acute conditions: minimum seven days

In chronic conditions: at least 3 months.
