ABRITES - AVDI - BMW / MINI Advanced Package

The ABRITES Vehicle Diagnostics Interface (AVDI) is the latest version of our interface that allows the connection between our state-of-the-art software and your vehicles. The AVDI is the basis upon which the whole ABRITES products ecosystem is founded. On this basis, you can build a bespoke package of solutions tailored to your needs. The basic package will give you access to a vast array of functionalities that will allow you to enter the world of automotive diagnostics with minimal investment. Additional purchases will allow you to cover a range of functionalities that is often unmatched by OEM tools.
The basic diagnostics that can be performed on all brands listed above are as follows:

• Complete vehicle scan
• Module identification – see all modules in the vehicle, complete with VIN and part numbers (where applicable)
• Reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
• Live data display – see live data from the sensors in the vehicle in real time
• Actuator testing – identify any possible issues in the car by performing actuator tests

What’s more, all owners of AVDI receive the PassThru driver, which is an invaluable tool allowing you to work with original equipment manufacturer software (OEM), when necessary as well as a vast array of special functions allowing them to get the full experience of Abrites products straight away. On top of all the free functionality, many options can be purchased separately giving access to a wide range of opportunities for every professional. The new generation ZN003 Abrites PROTAG Programmer is the latest upgrade to Abrites' powerful key programming tool! The ZN003 contains the full functionality of the ZN002 and expands its capabilities. With the PROTAG you can perform operations with keys and transponders, used in the latest authentication systems and immobilizer. The ZN003 is durable and ergonomically shaped to provide additional ease of usage, equipped with 3 slots for different types of transponders. One of the slots is specially developed for the Mercedes-Benz truck keys. The design is optimized to eliminate transponder positioning errors and maximize efficiency. PROTAG is ready to program all keys and transponders produced by Abrites, as well as a vast variety of OEM ones. It is the ultimate key programming tool for the professional locksmith. The Abrites Distribution Box (ZN051) is a proprietary set of cables and pins, allowing the AVDI to connect to different vehicles and modules, with CAN and K-Line protocols. It provides in-vehicle connection options, as well as bench and boot mode. It is very useful in reading/writing/updating numerous modules, together with the corresponding Abrites software. Very helpful with Mercedes, VAG, ECU Programming, and other software options. Automatically updated with all new functions and features immediately after launching.

The ZN030 ABPROG Programmer is a set of devices, designed to assist with many procedures, which require work on a bench with multiple units in the vehicle.

The BMW Full package consists of special functions BN011, BN012, BN013, BN015.

The BN011 is a function dedicated to the adaptation of transmission control units to the EWS (Electronische Wegfahrsperre or electronic immobilizer system), commonly known as EGS (Electronic Gearbox Computer or Elektronische Getriebesteuerung) via OBDII. The ability to synchronize an EGS to a vehicle is used not only when adapting a new or used module to a vehicle, but also in some cases of key programming or replacing other modules that participate in the vehicle's drivetrain or security system. BN011 also allows the adaptation of Bosch MG/MD ECUs in G-series vehicles by DFlash dump.

BN012 is required for the adaptation of 6-speed gearboxes in E-series vehicles if no working key is present or a ZN002 PROTAG programmer if a working key is present. the BN012 license provides various functionalities for all BMW vehicles.

Applicability:

• DME / DDE ISN reading - used for reading and displaying ISN (Individual Serial Number) of the DME/DDE (Digitale Motor Elektronik/Digitale Diesel Elektronik) via OBDII. This function is very useful when programming keys in ALL KEYS LOST  situations.
• DME / DDE Dflash/Pflash reading via boot mode - used for reading and writing of Dflash and PFlash of DME/DDE in boot mode which is very useful when programming keys to FEM/BDC vehicles in all keys lost situations. This option allows also resetting the working hours in DME / DDE.
• DME / DDE flashing - used for reflashing and updating of the DME / DDE via OBDII or for reading the ISN of the DME / DDE requires reflashing.
• Flashing / Programming of all electronic control modules - used for changing the flash version of all electronic control modules via OBDII. A large program flash database is available which includes the latest updates
• Coding of all electronic control modules - used for changing in an easy way different coding options/parameters in all electronic control modules and enabling/disabling different functionalities such as Video in motion, mirror folding, cornering lights, fog lights, and many others via OBDII. Default coding is also available (used for setting default coding values if the coding has been lost or if the electronic control module has been retrofitted)
• Vehicle order / Central coding (VO) configuration - used for retrofitting options, adding/removing electronic control modules/options and setting default values to them via OBDII
• Mileage calibration - used for reading/updating the mileage in almost all electronic control modules that store mileage value like IKE, LCM, EWS, ECU, ABS, VTG, EGS, and others (dashboards excluded because of the incremental memory inside)
• ID change (VIN) - used for reading/changing the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) when replacing electronic control modules
• Service intervals reset - used for resetting the service intervals of the vehicle such as oil change reset, brake pads change, and others.
• FSC code generator - used for generating FSC codes when updating the head unit (navigation) or the maps for CCC/CIC/NBT (Car Communication Computer/ Head Unit Car Infotainment Computer/Head Unit Next Big Thing)

The BN013 license allows performing key programming procedures (adding a spare key and ALL KEYS LOST) on ALL F-Series BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce vehicles, equipped with CAS4 (by OBDII) or FEM/BDC (by dump). Key programming for bikes (adding a spare key and ALL KEYS LOST) with EWS4 is also supported. In addition, BN013 allows you to reset the mileage in CAS4 or FEM/BDC, virgin (reset) of CAS4 or FEM/BDC, and adapt CAS4 or FEM/BDC units.

In order to perform the key programming procedures, you will need the ZN003 PROTAG. The use of CB015 ENET cable is strongly recommended. The BN012 license is required for ISN reading of DME/DDE in All Keys Lost situations. The CB015 is an ENET cable used in key programming procedures for BMW vehicles. It is used with the BN014 license for spare key and All Keys Lost key learning by OBDII for F-Series vehicles equipped with BDC modules (versions up to 85). The Annual Maintenance Subscription (AMS) is the gateway to the full capacity of the ABRITES products. The AMS is an essential part of the ABRITES ecosystem and a crucial counterpart to the AVDI, providing access to the following:

The ZN057 is a wire extender for the ZN031 - ABPROG EEPROM/BCM adapter, used to read chips without removing them from the PCB in tasks such as reading the EEPROM of the FEM/BDC module in BMW F-series vehicles.

The ZN046 is an adapter for renewing used keys in order for them to be programmed to another vehicle. It is an invaluable tool for all locksmiths, used with the ABPROG programmer.

The EP001 Bosch EDC17/MED17, Delphi, SIMxx ECU Programming Tool is dedicated to full reading/writing/updating and checksum correction of Dflash, Internal/External Pflash and Map Files of Engine Control Units by bench (direct connection), boot mode and diagnostics (OBDII). The ECU Programming Tool allows also the virtual reading of Flash, Maps and Bootloader.

The EP003 ECU and TCU Manager license allows the full reading/writing/updating of PFlash, DFlash and Maps, as well as checksum correction of MD/MG Engine Control Units and VGS2-FDCT/ZF 8HP/DQ381 Transmission Control Units on the bench. The procedures allow exchanging these modules in a wide selection of vehicles.

Thе CB013 cable set for bench connection to ECUsis a proprietary hardware, designed, developed and produced by ABRITES. It is required when reading the ISN of ECUs in BMW vehicles on bench, as well as reading the PIN code of the Engine Control Unit in PSA vehicles, manufactured after 2001. This cable set is used to connect the AVDI to the Engine Control Unit.

The ABRITES Support Plan Service (SPS) is an annual subscription service which provides access to the ABRITES ticketing system. The Abrites Support Plan Service enables customers to receive support from the Abrites Support Team. The Support Team analyse, detect, determine and provide possible solutions to issues that may occur while using the Abrites products. The SPS works in a written form via the Abrites ticketing platform. Once the SPS is purchased, an account is created in the platform where all the problem solving takes place. If the customer is registered with an Abrites partner, the ticket submission is done exclusively by this partner, and an individual account is NOT created.

The SPS subscription ensures the following:
