The mode of action of FRONTLINE COMBO ^®
FRONTLINE COMBO ^® is the combined protection for animal and home. After application to the dog's skin, the product is distributed with the skin's natural sebum film and acts as an external, invisible protective coat against ticks, fleas and biting lice. For optimal distribution, the animal should not be bathed within 2 days of application. After that, FRONTLINE COMBO ^® – like all FRONTLINE ^® products – is waterproof. The parasites absorb the active ingredient when they come into contact with their fur and skin and are rendered harmless within a few days. At the same time, the development of new flea eggs, larvae and pupae on the animal and in the animal's immediate vicinity is inhibited.

FRONTLINE COMBO ^® can be used on dogs from the age of 8 weeks and weighing 2 kg and also on pregnant bitches.

How does FRONTLINE COMBO ^® protect my pet and my home?
FRONTLINE ^COMBO®has a combination of active ingredients that, when used regularly, protects the animal against various types of parasites and also inhibits the infestation of the animal's immediate domestic environment with flea eggs, larvae and pupae. While one of the active ingredients acts against ticks, fleas and biting lice on the animal and protects against re-infestation, the second active ingredient prevents flea eggs, larvae and pupae from developing in the immediate vicinity of the animal. As a result, FRONTLINE COMBO ^® also inhibits the development of the flea population and is doubly effective.

Why should I treat my pet for ticks and fleas?
Fleas and ticks can cause infectious and skin diseases that can be dangerous not only for humans but also for dogs. For example, fleas can transmit various parasitic diseases, including cucumber seed tapeworm. But ticks can also pose a risk of disease for our velvet paws. Studies have shown that every third tick now carries the trigger for Lyme disease. Therefore, our four-legged friends should be treated regularly and preventively with a parasite protection.

Why do I still see ticks and fleas after the treatment?
Due to the working principle of FRONTLINE COMBO ^®it is possible that temporarily live ticks that have newly infested the dog are visible on the animal. However, they are rendered harmless once sufficient drug has penetrated through the shell. If fleas are discovered on the animal, flea eggs, larvae and pupae have usually already infested the environment. FRONTLINE COMBO ^® also inhibits the development of the flea population in your own home thanks to its combination of active ingredients. In order to interrupt the entire flea cycle, we also recommend targeted environmental treatment, for example daily vacuum cleaning and washing of the infested textiles. The flea infestation can be combated even faster with a surrounding product (eg FRONTLINE HOMEGARD ^{® ).}

How do I protect my puppy or young dog from fleas and ticks?
Puppies can also be infested with parasites. Fleas in particular can cause problems for the little ones and can even cause anemia in the event of a massive infestation. FRONTLINE ^® SPRAY can be used on puppies and kittens from the first day of life. It immediately renders ticks and fleas harmless and can be precisely adjusted to the puppy's weight. From the age of 8 weeks and/or a body weight of 2 kg you can switch to FRONTLINE COMBO ^® .
