The balancing treatment shampoo KERTYOL PSO with a mild and moisturizing formula dissolves plaque, regulates the formation of new psoriasis symptoms and provides intensive and long-lasting moisture.

Indication:
KERTYOL PSO treatment shampoo is an accompanying care product for the scalp with dry, stubborn dandruff accompanied by sometimes severe itching. It can also be used as an accompanying care product for psoriasis therapy or in combination with or as maintenance care after medical treatments. Suitable for adolescents from 12 years of age and adults.

Product advantages:
The KERTYOL PSO treatment shampoo reduces plaque thickness, regulates dandruff formation and has an anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect. The biodegradable formula maintains the hair color during use. The treatment shampoo has a pH value of 5.0.

Active ingredients and how the product works:

The innovative active ingredient Celastrol has a targeted calming effect and relieves itching and redness. Vederine® stimulates cell differentiation so that the plaques detach from the skin more easily and regulates and improves dandruff formation. Vederine® also increases the moisture supply to the scalp. The active ingredient ichthyol has an anti-inflammatory effect, slows down cell regeneration and thus reduces the formation of new flaky plaques. The salicylic acid contained in the shampoo also has a horn-dissolving effect. The moisturizing component is glycerin.

Application:

Intensive treatment phase: Use shampoo 3 times a week for 4 weeks.
Maintenance phase: Use once a week, alternating with a mild shampoo (e.g. DUCRAY Extra Mild). Can also be used on colored hair. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse thoroughly.

User studies:

An open, randomized comparative study was carried out with 54 subjects with mild to moderate scalp psoriasis (10% < surface < 50%). The tolerability and effectiveness were tested under dermatological control.

The KERTYOL PSO treatment shampoo was used three times a week for four weeks in two groups. In the following four weeks, 27 subjects from group 1 were treated once a week with KERTYOL PSO treatment shampoo and with a mild shampoo. The 27 subjects in group 2 only used a mild shampoo.

After one month, plaques/hardening were reduced by 78%.
After the first week, itching is reduced by 77%.

Maintenance phase:
KERTYOL PSO treatment shampoo has a lasting effect on plaque thickness/hardening.
KERTYOL PSO treatment shampoo has a lasting effect on itching.
One month after use, the quality of life index improves by 79%.

The tolerability and effectiveness of KERTYOL PSO treatment shampoo in combination with topical medical treatments was tested under dermatological control.
