  • Xylitol, or birch sugar, is a natural sweetener. It is obtained from the bark of birch. It can be used as a sugar substitute - is just as sweet, but contains 40% less calories.

Composition:
100% xylitol

Action:
Nutritionists recommend the introduction of a diet xylitol as an alternative to white sugar. The main advantage of this natural sweetener is its low glycemic index (14-fold lower than that of ordinary sugar). It allows you to maintain proper blood glucose levels. Xylitol strengthens the process of mineralization of teeth, protects against changes próchniczymi and gum disease. The beneficial effect of xylitol is also seen in the digestive system, because it reduces the growth of mold and yeasts that occur there, and fights bacteria responsible for stomach ulcers. Additional information:
