  • AMBROSOL is a syrup formulation that is mucolytic due to the content of ambroxol hydrochloride. It affects the thinning of the secretion and its elimination from the respiratory tract.

 

Composition AMBROSOL 0.30 syrup 200ml:


Active substance: 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride; excipients: liquid sorbitol 70% (E420), glycerol (E422), citric acid monohydrate (E330), propylene glycol (E1520), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), strawberry flavor, purified water.

Action:
The preparation is intended for oral use. It contains ambroxol hydrochloride, which acts mucolically and expectorates. It shows properties that dilute the secretion and facilitate the elimination of mucus from the airways (improves its transport). It limits the severity of cough. It is used in the case of diseases of the respiratory system, which is accompanied by disturbed mucus secretion.

Contraindications:
- allergy to the components of the preparation
- stomach ulcers and / or duodenal ulcers
- I trimester of pregnancy
- administration together with antitussives

Indications:
It is recommended to take acute and long-term respiratory diseases that are accompanied by thick and sticky bronchial secretions (eg cystic fibrosis, emphysema, bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis)

 

Dosing AMBROSOL 0.30 syrup 200ml:


Use orally after eating (do not give before going to bed!). For children aged 1-2 years give 7.5 mg syrup x 2 / 24h, 2-6 years use 7.5 mg x 3 / 24h, 6-12 years give 15 mg x 2-3 / 24h. In adults and adolescents over 12 years of age administer 30 mg x 2-3 / 24h.
