Developed in partnership with The National Forum of Gynecological Oncology Nurses in the UK, Amielle Care is a set of vaginal trainers (dilators/dilators) to help women manage changes in vaginal structure after a Radiation therapy to treat the vagina, cervix, or pelvis itself.

For every second woman who lives cancer-free after the treatment, the suffering does not end with the successful completion of the treatment, but continues due to the long-term effects of the gynecological brachytherapy. In addition to sexual dysfunctions such as dyspareunia, the consequences of treatment can manifest themselves in specific vaginal complaints such as adhesions or vaginal stenosis.

The Amielle Care and Amielle Comfort vaginal trainers help to reduce the risk of scarring and offer patients an effective opportunity to actively participate in their own treatment in order to prevent vaginal wall adhesions and stenosis as a result of brachytherapy. Depending on the type of cancer, you can choose between Amielle Care and Amielle Comfort as a suitable system.

Preventing the formation of scar tissue in the vagina helps keep it elastic and comfortable during intercourse or vaginal examinations. It is recommended that patients undergoing radical pelvic radiation therapy as part of their cancer treatment receive vaginal trainers (dilators) and appropriate support and education.

Amielle Care consists of a set of 4 vaginal trainers (dilators) of different sizes, a handle for easier insertion, lubricating gel and a discreet pouch. Amielle Comfort consists of a set with 5 vaginal trainers (dilators) of different sizes, as well as a handle for easier insertion, lubricating gel and a discreet pouch.

Coverage in Germany In Germany, Amielle Care is reimbursable and available on prescription. The diagnosis must be listed on the prescription for the health insurance companies.
