Devil's claw is native to South Africa, where it has been used traditionally for many conditions. It's commonly used in Germany and France. 
 
However, there is no good scientific evidence to support using devil's claw for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or COVID-19. Devil's claw may also increase stomach acid, which could make some medications less effective.

Today, devil's claw is used widely in Germany and France to fight inflammation or relieve arthritis pain, headache, and low back pain. Animal and test tube studies suggest that devil's claw can help fight inflammation.

Historically, the native Khoisan people have harvested and utilized the Devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) for childbirth, loss of appetite, and as a purgative, as well as the treatment of various diseases and ailments such as menstrual problems, indigestion, bitter tonic, inflammation febrifuge and syphilis.

Willow bark contains a chemical called salicin, which is similar to aspirin. It has pain and fever reducing effects in the body. Adults take 3 capsules daily with meals and plenty of water.
