indication

  • This medicine is a combination preparation from the group of B vitamins, which contains vitamin B 1 and vitamin B 6 .
  • It is applied
    • for the treatment of neurological system diseases caused by a proven deficiency of vitamins B 1 and B 6 .
  • A notice:
    • A deficiency of vitamins B1 and B6 rarely occurs in isolation. Before starting treatment, it should therefore be checked whether there is a deficiency in other vitamins.
    • If you do not feel better or if you feel worse, contact your doctor.

dosage

  • Always take this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose for adults is 1 film-coated tablet (equivalent to 100 mg vitamin B 1 /vitamin B 6 ) once a day.

 

  • duration of use
    • After four weeks of therapy, the doctor should decide whether further therapy measures are necessary.

 

  • If you take more than you should
    • Vitamin B 1 has a wide range of applications.
    • Long-term use (months to years) of vitamin B 6 in doses above 50 mg/day and short-term use (2 months) of doses above 1 g/day can lead to neurotoxic effects.
    • An overdose of vitamin B 6 is essentially manifested by sensory neuropathy, possibly with ataxia (coordination disorders). Extremely high doses can result in convulsions. In newborns and infants, severe sedation (soothing), hypotension (low blood pressure) and respiratory disturbances (dyspnea [shortness of breath], apnea [stopping breathing]) may occur (see Patient Notice category).
    • treatment of an overdose
      • If acute (single dose) doses in excess of 150 mg/kg body weight have been ingested, induced emesis and administration of activated charcoal are recommended.
      • Vomiting is most effective within the first 30 minutes of ingestion. If necessary, intensive care measures are required.

 

  • If you forget to take a dose
    • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Proceed with the application as described in the dosing instructions.

 

  • If you stop taking it
    • Please contact the doctor treating you.

 

  • If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • The film-coated tablets can be taken independently of meals.
  • Please swallow the tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water [200 ml]).
