Purilon Gel is a clear, amorphous hydrogel with added alginate.

Due to its high water content, it causes quick and gentle rehydration and softening of dry tissue.

Thanks to this property, Purilon Gel gently removes necrosis and deposits (autolytic debridement) without damaging the sensitive, newly formed tissue.

This is how Purilon ensures a good start in wound healing.

Its very good cohesive and moisturizing properties were z. B. in an independent in vitro study.

Purilon Gel is characterized by the fact that it does not contain any preservatives.

Purilon Gel is characterized by a double effect in its mode of action: In the case of dry necrosis and deposits, Purilon Gel has a strong hydrating effect and provides moisture, which enables the gentle dissolution of necrosis and fibrin deposits.

In the case of slightly exuding wounds, however, Purilon Gel unfolds its absorbent effect thanks to the alginate additive and can absorb excess exudate.

Due to this double effect, Purilon Gel can be used in a variety of ways.

Thanks to its high viscosity and gel stability, it is particularly easy to apply and remains on the wound without running.

This effectively minimizes the risk of maceration of the skin surrounding the wound.

Purilon Gel is also easy to use on parts of the body that are difficult to treat, such as the heel area.

Its composition guarantees good cohesion and prevents sticking to the wound surface.

Purilon Gel enables safe and gentle debridement.

Targeted and safe application

First remove the label from the bellows bottle by pulling in the direction of the arrow.

Open the pack by snapping off the seal.

You can now easily and precisely target the desired amount of Purilon Gel to the necrotic area by gently pressing on the bottom of the bellows bottle

or applied wound.

Fill deep wounds up to the level of the surrounding skin.

The wound covered with Purilon Gel should be covered with a secondary dressing.

Select this depending on the amount of exudate.

Comfeel Plus is recommended for lightly to moderately exuding wounds, for moderately to heavily exuding

Wounds Biatain foam dressing.

For optimal cleaning of necrotic or coated wounds, you should apply Purilon Gel at least every three days.

For gentle removal of necroses

Purilon Gel is mainly used for necrotic, coated and dry wounds with secondary healing, e.g. B. decubitus, leg ulcers and diabetic foot syndrome.

Purilon Gel can also be used for first and second degree burns.

For infected wounds, it can be used under medical supervision.

As a secondary dressing, Comfeel Plus Flexible Wound Dressing is suitable for lightly to moderately exuding wounds and Biatain Foam Dressing for moderately to heavily exuding wounds.
