CALMABEN Application:

CALMABEN is a sleeping pill for short-term treatment of sleep disorders and sleep disorders.

Composition:

1 tablet contains 50 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride. Excipients: 53.9 mg sucrose, silica, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, copovidone, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, gum arabic, talc, methyl cellulose, calcium carbonate, povidone, titanium dioxide, glycerol (E-1711.

CALMABEN sleeping pill Dosage:

In the evening, 1 tablet 30 minutes before bedtime.

Do not take more than 1 tablet: the duration of treatment should be as short as possible. In case of prolonged sleep disturbance, the use of the product should be discontinued after 2 weeks at the latest and the need for its use should be reconsidered.

CALMABEN sleeping pill should not be used in:

- Hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine hydrochloride, to other antihistamines (medicines used to treat allergies) or to any of the excipients.

- Acute asthma attack

- Increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma

- Tumor of the adrenal gland

- Enlargement of the prostate with residual urine

- Epilepsy

- Congenitally prolonged QT syndrome / change in ECG /

- Irregular or slow heart rate

- Concomitant use of medicinal products that may prolong the QT interval in the ECG, such as antiarrhythmic drugs

- Deficiency of potassium or magnesium

- Pregnancy and lactation

- After drinking alcohol or taking medicines to treat depression

CALMABEN sleeping pill should not be taken by children under 12 years of age.

Kalmaben should only be used with caution in patients with:

- Chronic lung disease, narrowed airways and asthma

- Narrow pylorus or functional disorders of the stomach inlet

- Functional liver failure

Side effects:

Depending on individual sensitivity, drowsiness, impaired concentration the next day, especially with insufficient sleep duration after taking the drug, as well as dizziness and muscle weakness are most commonly reported. Symptoms of dry mouth, nose and throat, headache, visual disturbances, gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, gastro-oesophageal reflux) and urinary disturbances are less common.

In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions, changes in the blood picture, increased intraocular pressure, especially in children, paradoxical reactions in the form of central arousal, such as anxiety, irritability, nervousness, anxiety, tremor or insomnia. In a small number of cases, skin allergic reactions, contact dermatitis and photosensitivity of the skin (to avoid direct sunlight) and functional liver disorders have been observed during treatment with an antihistamine. Side effects of hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia and agranulocytosis are possible. After abrupt discontinuation after long-term use of diphenhydramine hydrochloride, transient sleep disturbances may occur.

Drug interactions:

CALMABEN sleeping pill should not be used with other medicinal products that contain diphenhydramine hydrochloride, including topical products. Concomitant use of Kalmaben and alcoholic beverages should be avoided. In addition, it should not be taken together with MAO inhibitors (medicines used to treat depression) as it can lower blood pressure and cause CNS disorders and difficulty breathing.

The additional use of drugs that can prolong the "QT interval" in the ECG / eg Such against cardiac arrhythmia / should also be avoided.

Blood pressure lowering medicines when taken with Kalmaben may cause increased fatigue. Concomitant use of CALMABEN sleeping pill and:

- Medicinal products containing atropine or agents used to treat Parkinson's syndrome (Biperiden) or to treat depression may cause life-threatening intestinal paralysis, urinary retention or increased intraocular pressure

- CNS depressants, hypnotics, drugs, opioid painkillers, psychotropic drugs and alcohol can cause unpredictable mutual enhancement of effects.

This affects your ability to drive, your ability to react and your machine to work. CALMABEN sleeping pill may cause false negative results in allergy tests, so its use must be stopped at least 72 hours before such a test.
