  • Control HASCOVIR is an antiviral drug, indicated in the fight against herpes simplex type 1 and 2 (HSV) causing infections of the skin and mucous membranes. The preparation Control HASCOVIR contains as active ingredient at a dose of 200mg of acyclovir per tablet.

Control HASCOVIR, Acyclovir (aciclovirum) Action:


The drug Control HASCOVIR formulation indicated for adults suffering from infection by a Herpes Simplex virus (I and II) that causes cold sores and used in the treatment of Herpes varicella-zoster (treatment of varicella zoster).

Contraindications:
Do not use Control HASCOVIR in case of hypersensitivity to aciclovir or any of the ingredients. Do not use Control HASCOVIR during pregnancy and breast-feeding - if there is such a need for this drug may be used only after consultation with your doctor.

Dosage:
The Control HASCOVIR should be administered orally with a sufficient amount of water. If large doses are recommended to take large amount of fluids. Treatment is best started within 1-2 days after infection. This time of administration provides the greatest efficiency. Adults in the case of herpes simplex - 200 mg five times a day at 4 h (the night break) for 5 days. If the infection is severe disease, the treatment can be extended.

Prevention of recurrent herpes in patients with a normal immune - 200 mg four times a day every six hours (with a break night) and 400 mg 2 times a day every 12 hours.

In the prevention of infections caused by herpes simplex virus in patients with immunodeficiency - 200 mg four times a day every six hours (in patients with severe impairment of resistance can be increased to 400 mg). For infections of Varicella zoster - 800 mg five times daily at 4 h (with an interval night) for 7 days. The children in the treatment and prevention of infections of the skin and mucous membranes herpes simplex virus - over 2 years - the adult dose. Under 2 years old - it is recommended to use half the adult dose. In the treatment of infections caused by the varicella - children under 2 years of age - 200 mg four times a day.

Children aged 2-5 years - 400 mg 4 times daily. Children from 6 years - 800 mg 4 times daily. Treatment should last for 5 days. In elderly patients treatment should start with lower doses of the drug. In patients with impaired renal function it is recommended that a separate regimen.
