In acute diarrheal diseases, Loperamid Akut - 1 A Pharma ® works quickly and reliably. The tried-and-tested active ingredient loperamide quiets the intestines for a short time and so quickly relieves the symptoms. Also ideal when traveling and on the go! Good to know: Loperamid acute - 1 A Pharma ® is suitable for adults and adolescents from 12 years.



Treating Diarrhea - Why Is It So Important?
With diarrhea, the body loses water and electrolytes. This can stress the organism - there is a risk of drying out (dehydration).

It is all the more important to treat diarrhea quickly and reliably. The active ingredient loperamide has proven itself here for a long time.

How loperamide works against acute diarrhea
The active ingredient loperamide is used to treat acute diarrhea symptomatically if no causal therapy is available.

And this is how loperamide works:

  • Makes the bowels calm for a short time
  • Reduces the frequency of bowel movements
  • Solidifies the texture of the chair


In this way, further loss of fluid and electrolytes is counteracted.

Tip: In addition to treatment with Loperamide acute - 1 A Pharma ® , you should ensure that you are drinking enough fluids - ideally 2-3 liters of still mineral water, lukewarm tea or clear broth per day. The replacement of electrolytes is also important (e.g. using ready-made electrolyte solutions from the pharmacy).

Application & dosage
Loperamid acute - 1 A Pharma ® is suitable for use in adults and adolescents from 12 years.

The hard capsules are swallowed whole with sufficient liquid (e.g. with a glass of water).

The recommended dose is (please also refer to the package insert):

Adolescents from 12 years of age
First dose 1 hard capsule (= 2 mg loperamide hydrochloride)
Repeat
dose: 1 hard capsule (= 2 mg loperamide hydrochloride ) Maximum daily dose: 4 hard capsules (= 8 mg loperamide hydrochloride )

Adults first
dose 2 Hard capsules (= 4 mg loperamide hydrochloride)
Repeat
dose : 1 hard capsule (= 2 mg loperamide hydrochloride) Maximum daily dose: 6 hard capsules (= 12 mg loperamide hydrochloride)

At the beginning of the treatment of acute diarrhea, the first dose is taken. Thereafter, the repeat dose should be taken after each unformed stool.

The recommended maximum daily dose must not be exceeded.

Important: Do not take Loperamid Akut - 1 A Pharma ® for more than 2 days without medical advice. If the diarrhea persists after 2 days of treatment, Loperamid Akut - 1 A Pharma ® must be discontinued and a doctor must be consulted .
