This porcelain creation pays homage to celebrated songs from the history of rock music. Walking on the Moon, one of The Polices 'works of art' from the studio album Reggatta De Blanc, considered one of the best new wave albums of all time, marks the beginning of this journey in porcelain through the iconic hits of rock music. The Lladro artists take us on a voyage through outer space, to the lyrical rhythm of Walking on the Moon , with an astronaut who, satellite at his feet, leaves his face exposed out in the open, and reaches for his guitar to revel in music.

Walking on the Moon celebrates the 40th anniversary of its release (1979), and marks 50 years since man first set foot on the moon. The lyrics to Walking on the Moon were written and performed by Sting, and inspired the song official music video, in which the band members Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland appear, playing the guitar alongside the lunar rocket Saturn V, in the NASA Kennedy Space Center.

13 different fragments from 10 molds were required for the creation of the piece.
