  • Nivalin is intended for use as an injection. Induces the contraction of smooth muscle, skeletal muscle contractility enhances and facilitates the conduction of the nervous system.

Ingredients:
galantamine (Galantamini hydrobromidum)

Indications:
The product is intended for use in the treatment of secondary neuromuscular diseases and spinal.

Action:
The drug galantamine, which is a selective, reversible inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase. Responsible for the direct stimulation of nicotinic receptors and increases the sensitivity of postsynaptic receptors for acetylcholine. Much less effect on muscarinic receptors than neostigmine. It helps to facilitate the process of conduction of excitation in the synapses plate movement and the restoration of neuromuscular conduction inhibited by means of causing block the plate niekompetencyjny mobility. The active substance passes through the blood-brain barrier and facilitates the conduction of stimuli in the central nervous system and enhances processes beats. This causes increase in the tension on the smooth muscle tissue and the secretion of digestive glands and sweat glands. It causes constriction of the pupils.

Contraindications:
- allergic to the components of the drug substances
- decreased heart rate
- Asthma
- atrio-ventricular block
- coronary heart disease

- epilepsy
- excessively increased locomotor activity in the form of skeletal muscle tremors

Dosage Nivalin:
Use subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously. In the case of adults in the beginning it is recommended that administration of 2.5 mg. In the interval of 3-4 days the dose is gradually increased by 2.5 mg in 2 or 3 divided doses. Do not use more than 10 mg as a single dose - subcutaneously and 20 mg / 24h. For children formulation administered subcutaneously. Children from 1 to 2 years - 0.25-1 mg; 3 to 5 years - 0.5-5 mg; 6 to 8 years - 0,75-7,5 mg; from 9 to 11 years - 1-10 mg; young people from 12 to 15 years - 1,25-12,5 mg; above 15 years - 1,25-15 mg. The recommended to use the drug for 40-60 days.
