Lactic acid bacteria are part of the natural skin flora. The bioactive bacterial complex Baplexin ^® 621 in the medical skin care product AktivaDerm ^®ND combines 9 selected living bacterial strains that have been specially tailored to the needs of the skin of neurodermatitis sufferers:

• Lactobacilli: Lactobacillus gasseri, L. johnsonii, L. paracasei, L. plantarum, L. rhamnosus, L. reuteri
• Bifidobacteria: Bifidobacterium lactis, B. longum
• Streptococci: Streptococcus thermophilus
