What are the benefits of Penicillium?

Penicillium is an important genus of phylum ascomycota, found in the natural environment as well as in food and drug production. Some members of the genus produce penicillin, a molecule used as an antibiotic that kills or stops the growth of certain kinds of bacteria inside the body.

Penicillium glabrum e volumine mycelii (lyophil., Sterile.) D4

Composition:
1 hard capsule contains:
330 mg Penicillium glabrum e volumine mycelii (lyophil., Sterile.) D4 trit. (HAB, regulation 6). Capsule shell: hypromellose.

Experience has shown that it is used for:
Registered homeopathic medicinal product, therefore no therapeutic indication is given.

Use:
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age take 1–3 hard capsules daily before breakfast or in the evening before going to bed with some liquid. Quentakehl® D4 should be discontinued after a maximum of 4 weeks of therapy.

Side effects:
Due to the content of specific organic components in Quentakehl® D4, hypersensitivity reactions, mainly in the form of skin reactions, can occur in rare cases and an allergy to the component Penicillium glabrum can be triggered. The drug should then be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.

Contraindications:
Do not use in:

  • Known hypersensitivity to mold (Penicillium glabrum)
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Children under 12 years
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women

Interactions:
Medicines with an immunosuppressive effect can impair the effectiveness of Quentakehl® D4. There should be an interval of 4 weeks before and after treatment with orally administered live vaccines.

Precautions:
This medicine contains lactose. Please take Quentakehl® D4 only after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars.

Note:
contains lactose. Due to its lactose content, this medicinal product is unsuitable for patients with the rare occurrence of galactose intolerance, a genetic lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
