The 5 layer dressing absorbs, channels and seals in exudate. This allows control of exudate progression. The layers direct exudate away from the wound bed and prevent backflow into the wound, even under a compression bandage. As a result, this dressing has up to 2.2 times the exudate absorption compared to other adhesive-lined foam dressings tested7 and absorbs both normal and viscous exudate.

Our proven Safetac® technology means less pain, wound and skin damage during dressing changes and there is less risk of maceration than with traditional (self-adhesive) dressings.

Mepilex Border Flex has been developed for a wide range of exuding wounds, e.g. B. decubitus ulcers, leg and foot ulcers and traumatic wounds (e.g. skin lacerations) and surgical wounds. Mepilex Border Flex can also be used in conjunction with gels on dry and necrotic wounds. Mepilex Border Flex can also be used as part of a prophylactic treatment to prevent skin injuries such as B. pressure ulcers, are used and reduces post-operative blistering.
