Lefax ^® chewable tablets: Simple chew for gas

Who does not know this: The stomach feels overfilled and a feeling of pressure spreads. All of us have probably had too much air in our stomachs – whether big or small. The cause usually lies in our diet: eating foods that cause flatulence, such as legumes or cabbage, often leads to an accumulation of air in the stomach. But the way we eat meals is also important. Hasty eating often has the unpleasant side effect of choking on air. One possible consequence is flatulence.

This is where the Lefax ^® chewable tablets come into play. The active ingredient Simethicon frees trapped air in the stomach and intestines and relaxes the abdomen. Other gas-related symptoms are also relieved:

• Bloating
• Feeling of tension in the upper abdomen
• Abdominal cramps

Since the dosage of the active ingredient Simethicon in Lefax ^® chewable tablets is lower, you can also use it to relieve gas-related symptoms in children aged six and over - an ideal helper for every medicine chest.

In addition to nutrition, there are other reasons for increased air formation in the stomach and intestines: flatulence can occur after operations or during pregnancy. In these cases, too, the Lefax ^® chewable tablets provide relief. In addition to pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children from the age of six can take the remedy for flatulence. However, you should observe the following dosages for gas‐related gastrointestinal complaints.

• Children from 6 to 14 years: one chewable tablet three to four times a day
• Adolescents and adults: one to two chewable tablets up to four times a day

Taking the Lefax ^® chewable tablets is practical and easy: the tablets only have to be chewed - water is not required . This makes the remedy for flatulence your ideal companion for on the go and quickly relieves the symptoms on vacation or business trips. You should take the Lefax ^® chewable tablets with or after meals. If necessary, use before going to bed is possible.

Lefax® ^_can, if necessary, also be taken over a longer period of time. A doctor should be consulted for new and/or persistent abdominal discomfort so that the cause of the problem and any underlying condition that may require treatment can be diagnosed. If you forget to take Lefax ^® , do not double the dose, continue as directed. Please do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the blister and packaging. Keep Lefax ^® out of the reach of children and do not store above 30 degrees Celsius.

Important note for diabetics: One chewable tablet contains 0.05 bread units (BE).


The active ingredient in Lefax ^® chewable tablets

Lefax ^® chewable tablets contain the active ingredient simethicone in a low dose of 42 milligrams per chewable tablet. It dissolves the trapped air and thus relieves the symptoms. It already mixes with the chyme in the stomach and thus also prevents the formation of new air. The low dosage makes it possible to use the chewable tablets in children from the age of six. For adolescents and adults who prefer a chewable tablet, the Lefax ^® chewable tablets extra are recommended, with a higher content of simethicone. Thanks to other ingredients, the Lefax ^® chewable tablets taste refreshingly like peppermint.
