Iron Complex Capsules

Iron is responsible for transporting oxygen in the bloodstream, contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and influences human performance by reducing tiredness and fatigue.

Iron Complex is a combination preparation with iron in the favorable fumarate form, vitamin C, A, copper and citrus bioflavonoids. Although bivalent iron is better utilized in the body than trivalent iron, it is often poorly tolerated.

The bivalent iron fumarate used in Iron Complex is in microencapsulated form. The protective coating is only broken down in the small intestine by the digestive enzymes, which can reduce the irritating effect of the iron salts on the intestinal mucosa. Bivalent iron is absorbed in the intestine at a rate of around 10 - 20 percent, so it is important to add additional micronutrients for iron metabolism.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) can promote the absorption of iron. It converts trivalent iron into bivalent iron.

Vitamin A and riboflavin contribute to normal iron metabolism.
