WHAT IS VIDISIK AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Vidizik is a substitute for tears in "dry eye" (synthetic artificial tears).

It is used to replace tear fluid in cases of impaired tear production and for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye syndrome.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING VIDISIK?

Do not use Vizidik if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Take special care with Vidizik:

If you wear contact lenses.

Before applying Vidizik, contact lens wearers should remove them and wait 15 minutes before putting them back on.

Use of other drugs:

So far no specific interactions are known.

VIDISIC eye gel Note:

If Vidizik is used in combination with other eye drops, there should be an interval of approximately 5 minutes between applications. If Vidizik is used in combination with other eye ointments, there should be an interval of approximately 15 minutes between applications.

Vidizik should always be the last medicinal product administered.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

No studies have been performed with Vidizik in pregnant women, but on the other hand there are no suspected factors leading to the use of Vidizik during pregnancy and lactation.

However, this medicine can be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding only after careful consideration by your doctor of the possible benefits against the possible risks.

VIDISIC eye gel Driving and using machines:

As this product may affect visual acuity for a short time, causing streaks, and also affect reactivity, even when applied as indicated, you should not drive, operate without a secure support or with machines at this time.

VIDISIC eye gel Dosage:

Treatment of dry eye syndrome requires an individual dosing regimen.

Depending on the severity and intensity of the complaints, 1 drop should be instilled into the conjunctival sac 3-5 times a day or more often, as well as about 30 minutes before bedtime.

If you use more Vidizik than you should:

No specific overdose reactions are known.

If you forget to use Vidisik:

Do not apply a double dose of eye gel, but apply when it is time for the next dose and follow the same dosing regimen and intervals / rhythm mentioned above or as recommended by your doctor. If necessary, you can also apply Vidizik between the two specified hours of administration or make up for the missed dose.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, Vidizik can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Hypersensitivity reactions to any of the ingredients may occur very rarely.

Vidisic contains the preservative cetrimide, which may cause eye irritation (burning, redness and foreign body sensation in the eye) and may damage the corneal epithelium, especially with frequent and prolonged use.

If you have such symptoms, you should prefer products without preservatives to treat chronic dry keratoconjunctivitis ("dry eye syndrome").

If you experience hypersensitivity reactions or eye irritation, please discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.

Note: If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.

Discard any unused amount six weeks after first opening the tube.

What does Vidizik contain?

The active substance is: carbomers

1 g of eye gel contains 2 mg of carbomers (viscosity 40,000 - 60,000 mPa.s).

The other ingredients are: cetrimide, sorbitol, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment) and water for injections.
