Importance of the intestinal flora for our organism For a long time, the importance of healthy intestinal flora was underestimated. It is now clear: intestinal bacteria influence our physical and mental performance, they protect us from chronic diseases and help us to cope with stress better.

A balanced intestinal flora, the modern term for this is “microbiome”, contains a diverse and varied mixture of different microorganisms.

But these “blooming landscapes” are becoming increasingly rare in our digestive tract. Antibiotics and other medications, an unbalanced diet, food additives and lack of exercise cause our intestinal flora to become impoverished and monotonous.

Our intestinal flora complex contains two types of prebiotic fiber as well as 11 effective bacterial strains, which overall ensure a greater diversity of bacteria in the intestine.

The prebiotic fiber resistant dextrin from corn (resistant starch) stimulates the formation of anti-inflammatory fatty acids (e.g. butyrate) in the intestine and promotes the development of bacteria that are specifically essential for the intestinal barrier and the intestinal mucosa.

Acacia fibers, on the other hand, promote important acidifying bacteria such as bifid germs, which prevent unwanted microorganisms from spreading in the intestine.

The total number of bacteria per daily dose (5 g) is 22 billion bacteria, made up of 11 different bacterial strains. Studies have shown that these bacterial strains have beneficial effects on the mental state and can reduce stress and tension. In times of stress and tension, the lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosum, Lactobacillus helveticus as well as the bifidobacteria Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacterium bifidum can not only improve mood, have a calming effect and relieve anxiety. In studies, even stress hormone levels (cortisol levels) could be measurably reduced after just 14 days.¹

The two bacterial strains Steptococcus thermophilus and Bifidobacterium breve can improve performance and shorten regeneration time in athletes.²

Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactobacillus helveticus stimulate the immune system and reduce the frequency of infections in people susceptible to infections and performance-oriented athletes or those suffering from stress.³
