  • Ichthyol ointment 10% is a medicinal product that is indicated for use as an agent facilitating the removal of pus and a bacteriostatic agent. The preparation is used in the case of acne, eczema or furunculosis.

Composition Ichthyol ointment (ichtamol) 10% 20g, acne, eczema or furunculosis:

Active substance: ichtamol (Ichthammolum). 100 g of ointment contains 10 g of ichtamol and auxiliary substances: lanolin, yellow petrolatum.

Action Ichthyol ointment (ichtamol) 10% 20g, acne, eczema or furunculosis:

The indications for the use of Ichthyol Ointment 10% are boils, eczema and acne. The preparation is used as a bacteriostatic agent and supports the removal of pus. The active substance is ichtamol. The ointment has an astringent and slightly antibacterial effect.

Application:
The medicinal product Ichthyol Ointment 10% indicated for use in the case of eczema, furunculosis and acne.

Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. The possibility of using the drug in pregnant and lactating women should be consulted with a doctor. The lanolin contained in the ointment may cause local skin reactions (including contact dermatitis). Do not use in children under 12 years of age without consulting a doctor. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. The ointment may stain clothes.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Do not use on open wounds and severely damaged skin.

Side effects:
When using the drug, some people may experience skin irritation, when this occurs, the application of the ointment should be discontinued.

Dosage of Ichthyol ointment (ichtamol) 10% 20g, acne, eczema or furunculosis:

Use as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. In adults and adolescents: usually used 1-2 times a day. Apply the ointment to the affected areas. In children under 12 years of age: use only after consulting a doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the ointment.
