  • SCOPOLAN in the form of suppositories is used in pain in the course of urogenital spasms (renal colic, menstrual pain, detrusor hyperreflexia), bile ducts (hepatic colic), gastrointestinal tract.

SCOPOLAN suppositories Composition:
hyoscyl-butylbromide (Hyoscini butylbromidum)

SCOPOLAN suppositories Indications:
Severe pain in contractile conditions:
- bile ducts (hepatic colic)
- urogenital system (renal colic, menstrual pain, detrusor hyperreflexia)
- gastrointestinal colic, irritable bowel syndrome

SCOPOLAN suppositories Action:
Scopolan suppositories contain as active substance butyl hyoscine. It exhibits parasympatholytic activity, abolishing smooth muscle contractions of the gastrointestinal tract, bile ducts, urogenital system.

Contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to hyoscine butylbromide, other tropane alkaloids contained in Scopolan suppositories
- narrow-angle glaucoma
- prostatic hyperplasia
- atonic constipation
- paralytic ileus
- narrowing of the esophagus, cardia or pylorus
- narrowing of the bladder neck
- arrhythmias
- myasthenia gravis
- pathological widening of the large intestine (megacolon)
- children under 3 years

Dosage Scopolan suppositories:
The preparation is administered rectally. In adults and children over 12 years, 1-2 suppositories are used 2-3 times a day; children 6-12 years: 1 suppository 2-3 times a day; children 3-6 years: 3/4 suppositories 1 time a day. Scopolan suppositories should be used temporarily. The preparation may impair psychophysical fitness and disturb accommodation - after using the preparation, you should not drive or use machines.
