The active ingredient acetylcysteine ​​is a precursor of the natural amino acid cysteine. Acetylcysteine ​​dissolves cross connections in the "secretion network" that make mucus tougher and thicker. This will liquefy the mucus and make it easier to cough up. The cough can now better fulfill its useful function: cleaning the respiratory tract.

AGE - DAILY DOSE
Children from 2 - 5 years - 5 ml 2 - 3 times a day (corresponds to 200 - 300 mg acetylcysteine)
Children and adolescents from 6 - 14 years - 10 ml twice a day (corresponds to 400 mg acetylcysteine)
Adults and young people from the age of 14 - 10 ml 3 times a day (corresponds to 600 mg acetylcysteine)

Can ACC ^® Children's Juice be taken with antibiotics?
The one in ACC ^®The active ingredient acetylcysteine ​​contained in children's juice can weaken the effect of certain antibiotics (tetracyclines, aminoglycosides, penicillins). For safety reasons, antibiotics should therefore be taken separately and at least two hours apart.

Medicines with the active ingredients cefixime and loracarbef are not affected. They can be taken at the same time as acetylcysteine.

How long does ACC ^® children's juice keep?
After opening the bottle, the ACC ^®Children's juice can be kept for 18 days at 15 to 25 °C. Please do not use the juice afterwards. Always keep the medicine out of the reach of children. To protect the environment, medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Your pharmacist will be happy to provide you with information on how to dispose of the product after use.

How do I dose ACC ^® children's juice correctly? A measuring cup and an application syringe are included in each pack of ACC ^®
Kindersaft for easy and safe dosing of the drug .
For age-appropriate dosing using the application syringe, open the childproof closure of the bottle by pressing down and simultaneously turning the cap to the left. Now press the enclosed perforated stopper into the neck of the bottle. The stopper connects the dosing syringe to the bottle and stays in the neck of the bottle. Then insert the dosing syringe firmly into the opening of the stopper. The plunger of the syringe should be in the syringe as far as it will go.

Now carefully turn the bottle with the attached dosing syringe upside down. Slowly pull the syringe plunger down to the prescribed number of milliliters (mL). If air bubbles form in the drawn juice, push the plunger back into the syringe and slowly fill again.

If more than 5 ml ACC ^®children's juice were prescribed per intake, the dosing syringe must be filled several times.
