Uwemba-Pastilles® - the origin
have been manufactured in Switzerland for more than 10 years by the company NUS AG. The idea was born in Uwemba in southwestern Tanzania. In the monastery garden of a local Benedictine mission, the first cultivation trials of the main plant Artemisia annua (annual mugwort) were carried out.
Since then, the plant has been thriving there to an incomparable quality, which is due on the one hand to the excellent climatic conditions and on the other hand to the mineral-rich, volcanic soil. These minerals are indispensable for the human organism. Thanks to the specially developed cultivation methods, they accumulate in the plant to a particularly high concentration.
