Supplementing the daily diet with DHA during pregnancy and lactation is important for the proper development of the baby. DHA acid supports the proper development of the brain both in fetal life and in infants who are breastfed. Each capsule of the Pregna DHA dietary supplement contains as much as 300 mg of DHA acid in one capsule, it is worth noting that the beneficial effects of docosahexaenoic acid occur with a daily consumption of 200 mg above the recommended daily intake of Omega-3 acids (250 mg for DHA and EPA).
