  • Indications for use Zyrtec UCB are: treatment of chronic and seasonal allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria.

  • ZYRTEC UCB x 7 tablets

Ingredients:
1 tablet. powl. contains 10 mg cetirizine dihydrochloride.

Action:antihistamine, potent and selective antagonist of the peripheral histamine H 1. It has a strong and long-lasting effect. It inhibits the histamine-dependent early phase of an allergic reaction, reduces migration of inflammatory cells, including eosinophils, and reduces release of mediators related to the late phase of the allergic response. Cetirizine is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract; It extends the absorption of food, but not affect the bioavailability of the drug. This involves approximately 93% to plasma proteins. There is little metabolized by the liver and excreted largely unchanged in the urine. T 0.5 in the blood in adults is approximately 10 hours, in children - 5-6 hours.

Indications: Treatment of chronic and seasonal allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, derivatives piperazine or any of the excipients. Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance below 10 ml / min). Do not use in patients with hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Precautions: Use with caution in patients with renal impairment (dosage should be adjusted to the extent failure).Caution is recommended in combination with alcohol.

Pregnancy and lactation: Do not use during pregnancy, except in cases of overwhelming necessity. Do not use during lactation.

Undesirable effects: These are usually mild and transient. Somnolence, fatigue, agitation, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, mild disorders of the digestive system, increased liver enzymes and serum bilirubin, rhinitis, rarely hypersensitivity reactions (skin reactions and angioedema) , isolated cases of disturbances diuresis and accommodation of the eye.

Dosage: Oral. Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mg once daily. In renal insufficiency with creatinine clearance 30-49 ml / min given 5 mg once daily; <30 ml / min - 5 mg every 48 hours. Children 4-6 years 5 mg once a day; 6-12 years: 10 mg once daily or 5 mg 2 times a day.
