-to-use disposable enema for rectal use in rectal constipation or to prepare for rectoscopies. Enema (enema) for rapid emptying of the rectum, e.g. before operations, X-ray examinations, colonoscopies and childbirth.

  • 120 mg methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate
  • 12 mg propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate
  • water for injections

In the case of constipation and faecal congestion of various causes, if harmful and painful efforts during defecation are to be avoided, the Freka-Clyss® causes an almost physiological emptying of the rectum. The application is also sufficient for emptying the rectum before childbirth, operations and rectoscopies as well as before X-ray examinations.

The hypertonic solution creates an osmotic pressure gradient between the intestinal fluid and the plasma, so that more fluid flows into the intestinal lumen. The resulting filling and increase in pressure in the rectum stimulates intestinal peristalsis in a physiological way.
