The BIOSUN ear candle consists of a rolled, unbleached cotton fabric that is coated with pure natural beeswax, high-quality honey extracts and precious aromatic essences.

The BIOSUN logo and a colored marking are located at the lower end of the approximately 22 cm long ear candle. The labeled end shows which end of the ear candle is placed on the ear canal, the colored burn-off mark gives a clue to the end of the ear candle application.
Inside the ear candle is the patented safety filter, which prevents combustion residues, so-called condensate and possibly unburned wax from getting into the ear canal.

How the ear candle works:
The ear candles have a purely physical effect. A slight negative pressure (chimney effect) and the vibration waves of the air in the candle caused by the movement of the flame act like a gentle massage of the eardrum.
This leads to an intense feeling of pleasant warmth and a pressure equalization in the ear, forehead and sinus area that is perceived as "liberating".

This physical effect is often subjectively described immediately after application as a pleasant, pressure- and pain-relieving sensation, mainly in the ear and head area. Spontaneously, there can also be freer nasal breathing and an improved sense of smell, even if the nose was previously blocked.

In addition, a wonderful relaxation sets in through the entire ceremony. A deep sense of security and happiness that is rarely experienced!

Use ear candles easily and safely:
BIOSUN ear candles are approx. 22 cm long and each ear candle burns for 10 to 12 minutes. Ear candles are put into operation by igniting them with fire.
There is a risk of burns! Please keep the ear candles out of the reach of children. For safety reasons, ear candling is not recommended for self-use. The application should always be carried out by a second person (eg partner). This makes the application safer and the relaxation experience can be experienced much more intensively. Before you start, always have a glass of water ready to extinguish the residue of the ear candle!

Create a relaxed atmosphere before the application. The use of our relaxation music and our aroma essences has an extremely positive effect. With your eyes closed, you experience the ear candling experience many times more intensively. The room must not be drafty. The flame must always burn steadily. Keep warm with a blanket. It is best to lie on your side in a comfortable position. Your head is supported with a pillow, the ear canal points almost vertically upwards. During the burning process, small, cold ash particles can fly off if there is a draft in the room. To protect your hair and clothes, your partner can cover the surrounding area with a cloth as a precaution

When the preparation is complete, your partner sits comfortably next to you.

Light an ear candle: He/she lights an ear candle at the unlabeled end and places it with the non-burning end perpendicular to your external auditory canal. With a slight twisting movement and gentle pressure, until the ear candle sits tightly on the side. The ear candle is correctly positioned when no smoke escapes from the side and you can hear the pleasant crackling and hissing of the flame.

Using the ear candle: Your partner will hold the ear candle in place throughout the application. S/he makes sure there are no hairs near the flame.

Of course, the ear candle may only be lit at the unmarked end, opposite the safety filter used!

Extinguish the ear candle : it never goes out by itself! At the latest when the ear candle has burned down to 1 cm above the surrounding safety mark, the rest must be carefully removed and extinguished in a glass of water.

Treating both ears

You should always have both ears treated one after the other with one ear candle each. Finally, your partner carefully removes any condensation residue that may have stuck to the small ear hairs.

After rest:
A subsequent rest of approx. 15 to 30 minutes supports the overall experience extremely positively. During this phase, you can let yourself be pampered by quiet relaxation music and the scent of fragrant essences.

Please always store the ear candles in a dry and cool place.
