Particular care should be taken in the following cases: people with intolerance to ester local anesthetics (especially para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) derivatives), parabens or p-phenylenediamine - they may be hypersensitive to benzocaine. The drug should be used under the supervision of a doctor in people with erosive changes or peeling within the oral mucosa. When using the drug for more than 7 days, reversible discoloration of the teeth and the surface of the tongue may occur. Chlorhexidine increases the deposition of tartar, therefore, when using the drug, it is recommended to take proper care of oral hygiene and use toothpaste to prevent tartar build-up. Use in children: do not use under 12 years of age. Use with other drugs: Concomitant use with other topical drugs should be avoided. Do not use together with - other drugs containing bactericidal substances (e.g. with sulfonamides); cholinesterase inhibitors (medicines used to treat cognitive disorders). Do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes after taking the medicine. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult your doctor, but should not be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women. Driving and using machines: the drug has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines. The drug contains aspartame (E 951) - 4mg in each lozenge. Aspartame is a source of phenylalanine and may be harmful to patients with phenylketonuria. The drug contains isomalt (E 953) - 656.5 mg of isomalt (E 953) in each lozenge. Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in people with rare hereditary fructose intolerance, in people with methemoglobinemia. Side effects:
