For the topical intestinal treatment of proven nystatin-sensitive yeast infections of the gastrointestinal tract, particularly as a result of therapy with antibiotics, cytostatics or corticoids.

Warnings:
Contains lactose, Ponceau 4R aluminum salt, azorubine aluminum salt.

The typical symptoms of a fungal infection in the digestive tract are flatulence, a strongly changing stool quality and recurring diarrhea, often alternating with constipation.

Intestinal candidiasis has the same risk factors as other fungal diseases, but in particular therapy with broad-spectrum antibiotics, oral intake of glucocorticoids and therapy with cytostatics. When taking such drugs, simultaneous treatment with nystatin makes sense.

Because of its molecular size, nystatin is hardly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. For this reason, local and not systemic treatment is also carried out with peroral dosage forms.
