The "National Consumption Study II" ¹ shows that a total of 91% of women and 82% of men do not achieve the recommended daily intake of vitamin D. For some time, various nutritionists have recognized the importance of an adequate supply of vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 for the maintenance of healthy bones.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), osteoporosis (bone loss) is one of the ten most common diseases worldwide ² and is therefore classified as a widespread disease. According to the German "BEST study", around 6.3 million people in Germany were affected by osteoporosis in 2009, 5.2 million of them women (this corresponds to 82.5%). ³It can be assumed that this development has continued since then and will continue to do so. Bone mass increases up to around the age of 30, but from around the age of 40 bone loss predominates. In addition, the drop in estrogen during menopause promotes osteoporosis in women and thus sets the loss of bone density in motion. The result is that the bones become porous and can break more easily in the event of a fall.

The following relationships exist in terms of nutritional physiology: Vitamin D contributes to a normal calcium level in the blood, which means that the body has enough calcium available for incorporation into the bones. Vitamin D also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Normal bones are characterized by normal growth and bone density. The bone protein "osteocalcin" plays an important role here. With normal bone function, vitamin D supports the formation of osteocalcin. Vitamin K also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones by promoting the activation of osteocalcin in normal bone function.

What is inside?
Vitamin D3+ K2 Osteo capsules from R(h)ein Nutrition contain:

1. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) from lanolin/sheep's wool with a dosage of 2,000 IU (50 µg)
2. Vitamin K2 (MK-7) with a dosage of 80 µg
3. MCT ⁴ coconut fat powder as a transport medium for optimal bioavailability for the body

The capsules themselves are made of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (vegetable capsule shell). Microcrystalline cellulose is used as a filler and magnesium salts of fatty acids are used as a release agent/flow agent in this product during production.

We consciously use high-quality MCT ⁴-Coconut fat powder, the fat content of which optimizes the bioavailability for the body. Because vitamin D is one of the fat-soluble vitamins, which means that fat is needed as a transport medium so that the body can absorb vitamin D well.

Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 work best together to strengthen bones. Vitamin D3 regulates the absorption of calcium from the intestine, while vitamin K2 is responsible for ensuring that the calcium can ultimately be transported to its place of action. Both vitamins are made with high-quality MCT ⁴-Coconut fat powder combined, with the help of whose fat content the bioavailability for the body is optimized. Because vitamin D and vitamin K are among the fat-soluble vitamins, which means that fat is needed as a transport medium so that the body can absorb the vitamins well. The K2 form used, menaquinone-7 (MK-7), has an active all-trans content of 99% and is considered the most bioactive form of all vitamin K compounds.

Recommended dosage:
