ALLEGRA 120mg x 20 tablets

• Allegra 120mg contains fexofenadine hydrochloride as an active substance. The indication for the use of the drug is the treatment of symptoms of allergic rhinitis in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Allegra 120mg Composition:

Active substance: fexofenadine hydrochloride (Fexofenadini hydrochloridum). Each tablet contains 120mg of fexofenadine hydrochloride and excipients: tablet core composition - croscarmellose sodium, pregelatinized corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, coating composition - hypromellose E-15, hypromellose E-5, povidone K30, titanium dioxide (E 171), colloidal anhydrous silica, macrogol 400, red iron oxide (E 172) and yellow iron oxide (E 172).

Allegra 120mg action:

Fexofenadine hydrochloride, the active substance of Allegra 120mg, is an antihistamine. The drug is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever), i.e. sneezing, itchy nose, runny or blocked nose, and itchy, red and watery eyes in adolescents over 12 years of age and in adults.

Application:

Allegra 120mg is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever), such as: sneezing, itchy nose, runny or blocked nose, and itchy, red and watery eyes. The drug is for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Additional information:

Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect from moisture and light. Before starting to use the medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. You should be especially careful if: you have kidney or liver problems, you currently have or have had a circulatory system disease (this medicine may cause rapid or irregular heartbeat), you are elderly. Use with other medicines: this should be discussed with your doctor. If you are taking apalutamide (a medicine used to treat prostate cancer), the effect of fexofenadine may be reduced. Taking antacids with aluminum and magnesium may affect the effect of this medicine by reducing the amount of the drug absorbed - it is therefore recommended to keep a break of about 2 hours between taking antacids and this medicine. Use with food and drink: take before a meal, with water. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult your doctor, but the medicine should not be used during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. It is not recommended to use during breastfeeding. Driving and using machines: The likelihood that the medicine will affect your ability to drive or use machines is rather low, which means you can drive and perform tasks that require concentration. However, before driving or using machines, make sure that the medicine does not cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you experience these symptoms, do not drive or use machines. The medicine contains sodium - less than 1 mmol (23 mg) of sodium per tablet, which means the medicine is considered "sodium-free".

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug.

Side effects:

Some people may experience side effects while taking this medicine. You should see a doctor immediately and stop taking this medicine if you experience swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat, and have difficulty breathing. These may be signs of a serious allergic reaction. Common: headaches, drowsiness, nausea and dizziness. Uncommon: tiredness, drowsiness. Not known: difficulty falling asleep (insomnia), sleep disorders, nightmares, intense dreams, nervousness, blurred vision, fast or irregular heartbeat, diarrhoea, skin rash, itching, hives, serious allergic reactions which can cause swelling of the face, lips, tongue and throat, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, sudden reddening of the skin.

Dosage of Allegra 120mg tablets:

Use the medicine as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. Recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: one tablet (120 mg) once daily. Take orally, before a meal, with water. If symptoms do not subside after 5 days or have worsened, consult your doctor.
