Flustad composition:

Active substances: ibuprofen and phenylephrine hydrochloride. One tablet contains 200mg ibuprofen and 5mg phenylephrine hydrochloride and the other ingredients: core - microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate (Type A), hypromellose, sodium stearyl fumarate; Opadry 200 white 200F280000 (contains: polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), methacrylic acid copolymer (Type C), sodium bicarbonate.

Operation Flustad:

Flustad is a drug in the form of tablets containing ibuprofen and phenylephrine hydrochloride. Ibuprofen is one of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Phenylephrine hydrochloride is a drug that reduces nasal congestion. It is an active substance that limits swelling of the nasal passages, reduces pressure that can cause headaches and makes breathing easier.

Application:

Flustad is indicated for the short-term use in the case of colds and influenza to relieve symptoms such as: low and moderate pain, nasal congestion (stuffy nose), fever.

Additional information:

Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Discuss with your doctor the possibility of using the drug in women in the first and second trimester of pregnancy and in breast-feeding women.

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, to salicylic acid, as well as to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use in cases of peptic ulceration, perforation or bleeding (also occurring in the past). Do not use when symptoms such as asthma, rash, pruritus, stuffy nose, or swollen face after using ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid or similar medicines. Do not use in the case of bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract after taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use together with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and also when using acetylsalicylic acid at a dose of 75mg per day (or more). Do not use in severe hepatic or renal impairment, severe heart failure, high blood pressure, blood coagulation disorders, breathing disorders, hyperthyroidism. Do not use together with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, as well as two weeks after stopping their use. Do not use below 12 years of age. Do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Side effects

Some people may experience side effects while taking the medicine. Discontinue use and consult a physician immediately if you experience signs of intestinal bleeding (light red or black tarry stools, vomiting blood or dark particles with the appearance of coffee grounds), signs of a severe allergic reaction (difficulty in breathing or unexplained wheezing, dizziness) headache, rapid heartbeat, severe forms of skin reactions - pruritus, rash with redness, flaking or peeling of the epidermis, rash with blisters, swelling of the face, tongue, throat), symptoms of renal dysfunction (increased or decreased urination, cloudy urine, blood in urine, back pain and / or swelling), symptoms of aseptic meningitis (stiff neck, headache, nausea, vomiting, fever, confusion). You should stop using the medicine and consult a doctor if you get symptoms such as indigestion, heartburn, nausea, abdominal pain, abnormal abdominal symptoms. Other side effects occurring: uncommon - allergic reactions such as: rash (urticaria), pruritus, peeling of the epidermis, headaches, dizziness, tinnitus (ringing in the ears); rarely - flatulence (gas), diarrhea, constipation and vomiting; very rare - blood disorders causing unexplained or unusual bruises or bleeds, fever, sore throat, mouth sores, flu-like symptoms and severe tiredness, drop in blood pressure or irregular heart rhythm, liver dysfunction; frequency unknown - worsening of asthma or bronchospasm, swelling, high blood pressure, heart failure or heart attack, exacerbation of colitis and Crohn's disease, difficulties in passing urine (only in men). In addition, the use of the drug is associated with a slight increase in the risk of heart attack or stroke.

Dosage of Flustad tablets:

Use the drug as prescribed by your doctor or as directed on the leaflet. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water. Dosage in adolescents over 12 years of age, adults and the elderly: two tablets are recommended every 8 hours. The interval between consecutive doses can not be shorter than 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 tablets a day. The drug is intended for short-term use - adults should not use it for more than 5 days, and adolescents over 12 years of age for no longer than 3 days. It is recommended to use the lowest effective dose.
