Composition:
The active substance is furazidine. One tablet contains 50mg furazidine. Excipients: corn starch, sucrose, colloidal anhydrous silica, stearic acid.

Action:
Furazidine is a derivative of nitrofuran, it was used in the medicinal product Furagina Apteo Med 50mg. It inhibits the growth of bacteria that are responsible for causing urinary tract infections.

Application:
The medicinal product Furagina Apteo Med 50mg indicated for use in lower urinary tract infections.

Additional information: The product should be kept out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to avoid drinking alcohol while taking the medicine. This medicine contains sucrose, which should be taken into account in people who are intolerant to some sugars. It is recommended to consult a doctor.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or to other nitrofuran derivatives. Do not use in the first trimester of pregnancy, as well as during full-term pregnancy (from 38 weeks) and during childbirth. Do not use in children and adolescents. Do not use in cases of renal insufficiency (when creatinine clearance below 60ml / min or elevated serum creatinine was found in laboratory tests). Do not use in diagnosed polyneuropathy, e.g. in the course of diabetes. Do not use in the case of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking this medicine. Common side effects: nausea, excessive gas, headaches. Dosage:
Take as directed by your doctor or on the leaflet. In adults, it is recommended to use two tablets (100mg) 4 times a day on the first day of treatment. In the following days, reduce the daily dose, use two tablets (100mg) 3 times a day. Take this medicine with a meal that contains protein as it increases the absorption of the medicine. If the symptoms persist or worsen after 7-8 days of using the preparation, a doctor should be consulted.
