MEDICAL SKIN PROTECTION FOR THE EXTERNAL INTIMATE AND ANAL AREAS
DEUMAVAN Protective Ointment is a medical product and was developed by the gynecologist Professor Dr. Eiko E. Petersen. It can be used for many complaints of the sensitive skin in the external intimate and anal area. It relieves burning, itching and soreness in dry and damaged intimate skin, protects the skin from lesions and irritations caused by mechanical stress and supports the skin barrier in protecting against external influences. As part of daily intimate and anal hygiene, DEUMAVAN protective ointment prevents intimate complaints. ANAL HYGIENE: PROTECTION AND CARE
Intestinal germs on the skin and mucous membranes cannot be avoided, but they can be kept in check. Applying DEUMAVAN protective ointment before defecation reduces the adhesion of intestinal bacteria to the skin around the anus. This makes cleaning easier without causing painful damage. In addition, fewer intestinal germs get into the vagina or bladder. Careful anal hygiene is also essential for anal diseases (e.g. hemorrhoids, anal fissures). Here, the ointment protective film can cover skin lesions and largely prevent new ones from occurring. DEUMAVAN is therefore also suitable for wound care.

complaints repeatedly occur in the external intimate area, i.e. on the labia, penis or scrotum, it is often because the intimate skin is dry, rough or cracked. As a result, it reacts with burning, itching, soreness, redness, swelling and/or pain. At the same time, it lacks resistance to external stimuli. • When washing, showering or bathing, do not wash too often, for too long or at too high a temperature, as intensive contact with water removes fat from the intimate skin.

To prevent redness, razor bumps and ingrown hairs after intimate shaving, we recommend that you observe the following points:

• Prior cleaning with DEUMAVAN washing lotion reduces the number of inflammatory pathogens (bacteria) on the skin. When used as a shaving lotion, it softens hairs and intimate skin, making shaving easier and protecting the intimate skin.
• Use a sharp blade - ideally in a flexible razor because it can reach hard-to-reach areas. First shave in the direction of hair growth, then against it.
• Cuts when shaving can be avoided if the intimate skin is "stretched smooth" with two fingers, especially on the labia and scrotum. Rinse the blade with water after each "stroke" and at the end of the shave.
• Finally, the intimate area is rinsed with lukewarm water, patted dry and treated with a thin film of DEUMAVAN protective ointment. It supports the irritated intimate skin by protecting it from inflammatory pathogens and helps it to regenerate.
