For the symptomatic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (e.g. hay fever in combination with allergic conjunctivitis) in adults, adolescents and children from the age of 6 years.

Warning:
Eye drops, solution contains benzalkonium chloride. May be absorbed by soft contact lenses and cause contact lens discoloration. May also cause eye irritation, particularly in patients with dry eyes or corneal disorders.

Azedil ® – The acute help for hay fever

What is an allergy and how does it develop?
In the event of an allergy, our body's immune system reacts in a defensive manner to foreign substances that do not actually pose a health risk, such as pollen, house dust mites or animal hair. In order to get rid of these allergens again, certain cells of the body's defense system, so-called mast cells, release the messenger substance histamine. This histamine is responsible for allergic symptoms.


Symptoms of an allergy
An allergy usually manifests itself through typical complaints, which can occur individually or together and to varying degrees. These include itching of the nose, runny nose, watery and burning eyes, exhaustion, lack of concentration or shortness of breath.

How does Azedil ® work ?
With the proven active ingredient azelastine, Azedil ® blocks histamine (antihistamine), stabilizes the mast cells at the same time and has an anti-inflammatory effect. With its rapid mode of action, Azedil ® is suitable for the treatment of acute hay fever symptoms in the eyes and nose. For a 24-hour effect, Azedil ® only has to be used twice a day.


Treat hay fever early
Hay fever symptoms should be treated early. Otherwise there is a risk that the allergy will spread from the nose to the lower respiratory tract. This can lead to chronic bronchitis or allergic asthma. Doctors refer to this as a "change of floors". Early treatment can specifically counteract hay fever and noticeably improve the quality of life.
