Mucofortin, acetylcysteine 600mg x 10 effervescent tablets

Mucofortin (formerly Nacecis), due to the content of acetylcysteine, reduces the viscosity of the secretion in the respiratory tract and facilitates expectoration. Supports the treatment of difficult expectoration respiratory tract infections.

Composition of Mucofortin, acetylcysteine 600mg:

The active substance is acetylcysteine. 1 effervescent tablet contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine.
The other ingredients are: anhydrous citric acid, isomalt, sodium bicarbonate, ascorbic acid, aspartame (E 951), lemon flavor.

Action of Mucofortin, acetylcysteine 600mg:

NACECIS works on the basis of acetylcysteine, which is a secretolytic agent from the mucolytic group. It is a derivative of the amino acid cysteine. It has free groups that contain sulfur atoms that show the ability to break down glycoproteins of the mucous secretion into smaller particles and to liquefy it and reduce its viscosity. As a result, the preparation supports the process of expectoration of mucus in the respiratory tract. Additionally, it supports the activity of the respiratory epithelium. It does not disturb the natural cough reflex. The active substance also has antioxidant properties. NACECIS are effervescent tablets intended for the preparation of a drinking solution.

Contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to the constituent substances of the product
- asthmatic state
- phenylketonuria

Indications:
The preparation is recommended to be used in the case of colds or other respiratory infections accompanied by difficult expectoration. For short-term use in adults.

Dosage of Mucofortin acetylcysteine 600mg:

Use orally. In adults, it is recommended to use 1 tablet / 24h. Take after eating, after dissolving the tablet in 0.5 glass of water. Do not use later than 4 hours before going to bed.
