for bruises, hematomas, sprains

profelan® arnica according to Müller-Wohlfahrt is a pain cream that, thanks to its good ointment base, is quickly absorbed into the skin and has a decongestant and healing effect directly at the site of the injury. The soothing, pain-relieving effect is supported by the cooling effect of the spearmint oil it contains.

Application:
Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over should apply a 3 cm long strip of cream to each palm-sized area up to 3 times a day and massage in gently.

Composition:
Active ingredient: Arnica flower tincture 10 g cream contains 2.0 g tincture of arnica flowers (1:10), extraction agent: ethanol 70% (V/V). The other ingredients are: emulsifying cetylstearyl alcohol (type A), cetylstearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, glycerol monostearate 40-55, dimethicone (K=350), medium-chain triglycerides, zinc oxide, carbomer (40,000-60,000 mPas), trometamol, spearmint oil, frankincense oil, chlorophyllin-copper complex E 141, purified water, phospholipid dispersion (phospholipids from soybeans, ethanol 96%, shea butter poly(oxyethylene)-75, palmitoyl ascorbic acid, RRR-alpha-tocopherol, retinol palmitate, purified water, potassium phosphate).

What is profelan®arnika used for?
profelan®arnika is a herbal medicine for external use in the case of blunt injuries and the consequences of accidents, e.g. sprains (distortions), bruises, contusions, and hematomas.

How should profelan®arnika be used?
For use on the skin. Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over should apply a 3 cm strip of ointment to an area the size of their palm up to 3 times a day and massage it in gently. The duration depends on the clinical picture. Please note the information under areas of application, warnings and side effects.

Ointment dressings:
apply profelan®arnika to the area to be treated in a thickness of around 2 mm, cover with a linen cloth and apply a bandage. The ointment dressing should be worn for around 8 hours. If necessary, ointment dressings can be applied several times until the symptoms subside. The dressing should not be covered airtight.
