Vicks Sinex nasal spray. What is Vicks Synex Aloe and Eucalyptus and what is it used for
Vix Synex Aloe and Eucalyptus contains the active substance oxymetazoline hydrochloride and belongs to a group of medicines called sympathomimetics.
Vix Synex Aloe and Eucalyptus is a nasal spray used to locally relieve the symptoms of a stuffy nose associated with colds or rhinitis.
The effect of the spray begins after a few minutes and lasts 6-8 hours.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Vicks Synex Aloe and Eucalyptus, if you have:
• high blood pressure;
• heart disease, including angina;

Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years of age.

How to use Vnx Synex Aloe and Eucalyptus
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:, Adults and children over 10 years: 1-2 injections in each nostril no more than 2-3 times
daily.
Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 injection in each nostril no more than 2-3 times a day. Children under 6 years - Do not use. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Do not use for more than 5-7 consecutive days. If used for a longer period, Vicks Synex Aloe and Eucalyptus can cause nasal congestion.
Contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days.
Vicks Sinex nasal spray Possible side effects:
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
• Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): sneezing, dryness or irritation in the nose, mouth and throat.
• Rare (may affect 1 in 1,000 people):
anxiety, fatigue, irritability, disturbed sleep in children, rapid heartbeat, palpitations, high blood pressure, stuffy nose, swelling of the nasal mucosa, headache, nausea, redness, rash and visual disturbances.
Vicks Sinex nasal spray Composition:
The active substance is: 0.5 mg / ml oxymetazoline hydrochloride. One injection (equivalent to 0.05 ml) contains about 25 micrograms of oxymetazoline hydrochloride. The other ingredients are: sorbitol, liquid (non-crystallising), sodium citrate dihydrate, tyloxapol, chlorhexidine digluconate solution, citric acid, anhydrous, dry aloe extract, benzalkonium chloride solution, acesulfame potassium, cytrievodert, levomenthallate sodium hydroxide, purified water.
