49 AD) described the importance of the horse in oriental culture. Lladro borrowed its inspiration from the equestrian sculptures of the Tang dynasty (618

907), the golden era of Chinese art, to create this High Porcelain Oriental horse. A remodeling, on a smaller scale and with different finishes, of the Limited Edition with the same name launched in 1971, which was sold out in 1986.

The Lladro Oriental Horse Glazed Figurine 01001943conveys the meaning this animal held in China since ancient times: beauty, power and wealth. As in equestrian sculptures from the golden era, these pieces are depicted with great naturalism, achieved through meticulous attention to detail. The head, inclined in an elegant posture, shows off the bowed neck and prominent breast, conveying nobility and elegance.

The Lladro Oriental Horse Glazed Statue has been enhanced by the artists from the High Porcelain workshop with Lladro's broad palette of colors. In the glazed version, Oriental horse is particularly noteworthy for the colorful application of enamels, especially the green turquoise tones of the neck, specifically created for this work.
