  • Unguentum cream. An ointment with a creamy consistency and characteristic smell Unguentum undecylenicum intended for topical application on the skin covered by mycosis. The active substances in the medicine are: undecylenic acid and zinc undecylenate.

Composition:
One gram contains: active substances: undecylenic acid - 50mg, zinc undecylenate - 200mg and auxiliary substances: white petrolatum, anhydrous eucerin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214). One ointment in one centimeter of ointment is: 10.5 mg of undecylenic acid and 42 mg of zinc undecylenate.

Action:
Undecylenic acid and its salts are active substances with fungicidal activity. They are effective against dermatophytes (types Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton and Microsporum). The active substances contained in the ointment Unguentum undecylenicum affect both the mycelium as well as the spores of fungi, create conditions that are not conducive to the development of microorganisms. They also show a weak antibacterial effect.

Application:
Unguentum undecylenicum ointment indicated for therapeutic and preventive use. The indications for use are: dandruff dandruff, mycosis of the skin (hands, feet, groin, head), surface form of the fungal mycosis.

Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. Caution is advised for people with kidney disease as well as elderly people. The ointment contains ethyl parahydroxybenzoate and methyl parahydroxybenzoate, substances that can cause allergic reactions.

Contraindications:
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to any component of the ointment. Do not use in case of skin lesions with inflammatory reaction. Do not apply to eyes, mucous membranes, large areas of the skin. Do not use in children under the age of 11. It is not recommended for pregnant women and nursing mothers unless explicitly recommended by a doctor.

Side effects: Adverse reactions
may occur during treatment: rare: local skin irritation, rash, burning sensation. The drug may have irritating effects on mucous membranes. Not known: urticaria, allergic reactions. In case of a sudden allergic reaction (bronchospasm and urticaria), the use of ointment should be immediately stopped and a doctor should be consulted.

Dosage:
Use the drug as directed by your doctor or as recommended in the leaflet. In places affected by disease, apply the ointment with a thin layer. Apply twice a day. After the symptoms have resolved, treatment should be continued for 2-3 weeks.
